Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the 2.5-mile oval in Speedway, Indiana, home of the Indianapolis 500 since 1911 and the NASCAR Brickyard 400. Known as "the Brickyard" for the Yard of Bricks at the start-finish line, the track sits inside the Wayne Township section of the Indianapolis metro, a few miles west of downtown and a short run from Indianapolis International Airport.
