Pestana Sintra Golf
Golf and spa retreat with breakfast included
About this hotel
Pestana Sintra Golf is built around its own course and tennis academy rather than around the circuit, which makes it the property of choice for a VIP group that wants a golf morning before an afternoon of racing at Alcabideche. Two pools and a full-service spa give the resort a genuine wellness angle beyond the fairway, and free breakfast means leaving fed for the drive to the circuit rather than hunting for an open cafe on the Sintra side. Fine dining on site rounds out evenings after a long day trackside. It is the rare property near this circuit built as a destination in its own right, with racing as one part of a longer stay rather than the whole point of it.
- Golf course access
- Spa and fitness center
- Two pools
- Airport shuttle
Our take
This resort suits a group that wants golf, spa time and a proper restaurant alongside its race weekend, and is willing to pay for the fuller service. Families and VIP groups get the most from the two pools and tennis academy. Fans wanting a simple, inexpensive base closer to the seafront should look elsewhere.
- ✓Book breakfast and any golf tee times together when reserving, since the resort's schedule fills fast on race weekends.
- ✓Ask about airport shuttle timing if you're flying into Humberto Delgado Airport, as the resort offers this service.
- ✓Reserve well ahead for a marquee weekend; this is one of the few properties on this coast combining breakfast, spa and golf in one stay.
Why we love it
- Free breakfast every morning
- Two pools plus a tennis academy
- Full-service spa on site
- Fine dining without leaving the resort
Why guests love itWe paired a golf morning with an afternoon of World Superbike sessions, and the included breakfast meant leaving the resort already fed for the drive to Alcabideche rather than stopping somewhere along the way. Between sessions, the spa and second pool gave the non-golfers in our group something to do, and dinner on site meant not driving anywhere once we were back from a long day at the track, tired and ready to sit down.
